Vietnam already ships these fruits to Singapore in smaller volumes. We confirm supply and requirements with you before the first lot.

What Singapore requires

• SFA import licence: the importer holds a licence from the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) to import fresh fruits and vegetables. Only a business registered in Singapore can hold it.
• Import permit for each consignment, applied for by the importer through TradeNet before the goods arrive in Singapore, with the SFA licence number on the permit.
• No phytosanitary certificate is needed for fresh fruit imported for consumption. We can still provide one if your buyer or bank asks for it.
• Pesticide residues: the fruit must not contain prohibited pesticides, and residues must stay within the limits of Singapore's Food Regulations (Ninth Schedule) or, where no limit is set there, the Codex Alimentarius limits. Residue test reports are available on request.
• Inspection and sampling: SFA officers can direct a consignment to the Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre for inspection and take samples for analysis. A lot can be held until the results are known.
• Labels: every carton shows the name and address of the producer, the product description and the date of packing or export. Carton text is agreed in the sales contract.
• No import duty on fresh fruit: Singapore charges customs duty only on intoxicating liquors, tobacco products, motor vehicles and petroleum products. GST is still payable on import: please confirm it with your customs broker. A Certificate of Origin (ATIGA Form D) is issued on request.
• Commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading are sent in advance as scans, so that the permit can be applied for before arrival.

Seasons and peak demand

• All year: banana, dragon fruit, young coconut, seedless lime, guava, passion fruit, pomelo.
• Seasonal: Keo mango is confirmed with each quotation.
• Chinese New Year falls on 6–7 February 2027, and importers expect fruit demand to pick up in the weeks before it. Hari Raya Puasa is on 10 March 2027. Please tell us your shipping week early.

Fruit not yet on our Singapore list

Vietnamese durian, avocado and melons are not on our list yet and are quoted on request. Other Vietnamese fruits, such as longan, are also quoted on request: ask us and we will check supply and the current Singapore requirements for that fruit before the first shipment.
